• Milk, not water

Most soap is made with water. Ours is made with fresh milk from our own goats — that is where the creamy lather and the fats that stay on your skin come from.

  • Cured for weeks

We let every batch harden before it leaves the farm. A cured bar lasts through weeks of showers instead of turning to mush on the dish in two.

  • Seven ingredients

Goat milk, four oils, lye and scent. No detergents, no fillers, no lather boosters. The full list is printed on every product page.

  • Made by two people

A mother and daughter on a small farm in Minnesota. It started in 2014 as a high-school FFA project to pay for college. It worked.

Eucalyptus Goat Milk Soap

It starts with milk instead of water

Goat milk brings fats, vitamin A and lactic acid into the bar. Those fats stay behind on your skin rather than being stripped off, which is why a goat milk bar feels creamy instead of squeaky.

We also leave the glycerin in. Large soapmakers pull it out and sell it into their lotion line — then sell you the lotion to fix the dryness their soap caused.

Vanilla Goat Milk Soap

Ten years, the same recipe

The first bars — rosemary, peppermint, lavender and oatmeal — were sold in 2014 to pay for college tuition. The lotion came a year later, developed with a chemist and then held back for a full year of shelf-life testing before we would sell a bottle.

Roughly three out of four of our customers are repeat customers. That is the number we are proudest of.

Good to know

Questions we get asked at the market

Is there really goat milk in it?

Yes — fresh goat milk, used in place of the water most soap recipes call for. Not powdered, and not a splash added at the end for the label.

What is actually in a bar?

Goat milk, coconut oil, palm oil, canola oil, olive oil, sodium hydroxide (lye), and scent. Nothing else. Our scents are a mix of essential oils and skin-safe fragrance oils depending on the bar — some scents simply do not exist as an essential oil, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Will it work for sensitive skin?

It is the reason most of our customers found us. Goat milk soap is mild, and our unscented bars have no fragrance at all — usually the actual irritant. Start with Unscented or Unscented Oatmeal. We will not make medical claims: this is soap, not medicine.

How long does a bar last?

Four to six weeks for one person showering daily. Keep it on a draining dish out of the direct spray and it lasts considerably longer — soap sitting in a puddle dissolves fast.

What does shipping cost?

Free on orders over $50. Under that it is $7.99 for a small order and $9.99 for a larger one. We ship within the United States only. Orders generally leave the farm within two to three business days.

Where can I buy in person?

The Faribault Farmers Market on Saturdays and the St. Paul Farmers Market on Sundays. We rotate between the two and are often at both — message us first if you are making a special trip and we will confirm which one and set a bar aside.
